Our clean, modern lodging facility, which is separate from the hospital, is a matter of pride for us. We offer separate dog and cat wards, and all pets are exercised multiple times daily. We feed Science Diet to boarders unless you choose to bring your pet's own diet. You may also bring personal items for your pets stay such as a toy or special bedding. Reservations are required to board your pet and charges are incurred for each calendar day (similar to a hotel). Monday through Saturday checkout time is 12:00 pm. We do offer prearranged pickups and drop-offs on Sundays from 4:30-5:30 pm.
For the health of your pet, current immunizations are required for all pets before they can be boarded. Proof of current vaccination status must be provided at or before check in. The following vaccines for dogs must be current 7-10 days prior to the reservation:
- Parvo: must have been given in series as a puppy and current within last 3 years
- Distemper: must have been given in series as a puppy and current within last 3 years
- Adenovirus: must have been given in series as a puppy and current within last 3 years
- Parainfluenza: must have been given in series as a puppy and current within last 3 years
- Rabies: Required within last 3 years. 1 or 2 year rabies vaccine also accepted
- Kennel Cough or Infectious Tracheobronchitis vaccine: Intranasal combination of bordetella, bronchoseptic, parainfluenza and adenovirus is preferred and needs to be current within last 6 months. We will honor the injectable bordetella vaccine within 1 year throughout 2010. Starting in 2011 all bordetella vaccines need to be within 6 months.
- Canine Influenza: not required at this time but highly recommended.
Vaccines required for cats:
- RCP (Rhinotracheitis, calici, panleukopenia): these must have been given as a kitten series and current within last 3 years.
- Feline Leukemia vaccine: cats must have had a negative feline leukemia test and the vaccines need to have been given as a kitten series. Vaccine must have been given within the last year. If no vaccine was given within the last year, a negative feline leukemia test will be required prior to boarding.
- Rabies: Required within last 3 years. 1 or 2 year rabies vaccine also accepted.
Is your pet current? If your pet is overdue by less than 30 days, we will boost vaccinations while boarding. If the bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine is overdue only the injectable bordetella vaccine can be given while your dog is in boarding. Any pet that is overdue by more than 30 days will need to have the vaccinations updated prior to boarding.
We will require a deposit in order to reserve a kennel for Holidays and high demand times such as local school vacation dates. we hope this will encourage clients to retain their reservations or inform us as soon as possible of any cancellations.
Reservations must be cancelled at least 72 hours (3 days prior) to arrival date. Otherwise the required deposit will be retained and those on our waiting list will be offered the reservation.
No-shows pertains to the client that does not show as scheduled. If this occurs more than twice then the client will have to pre-pay fot the entire reservation each time a reservation is requested.
The deposit will consist of a days boarding fee for each pet.
As a facility which has met the exacting standards of the American Animal Hospital Association and the American Boarding Kennel Association we are confident your pet will find its stay with us very much to its liking! We welcome you to tour the facility at any time.
